Stray No More

In a winter’s wonder, cold and gray,
A homeless dog on a snowy day,
Longing for a home, a place to stay,
He wished and dreamed in his own little way.

With fur so scruffy, eyes so sad,
He wandered the streets, feeling quite bad.
But deep in his heart, hope never fled,
For a loving home, he yearned and pled.

On a frosty morning, so crisp and clear,
A kind soul saw him, drew slowly near.
They offered a hand, warm and wide,
Saying, “Come with us, we’ll be by your side.”

In a cozy house with a fire’s glow,
The dog found love, as pure as snow.
No more cold nights, no more alone,
In this special place, he had found his home.

With wagging tail and grateful heart,
He knew he’d found a brand new start.
A family to cherish, to call his own,
In their loving arms, he’d never be alone.

So, remember the dog on that winter’s day,
Whose wishes came true in a heartwarming way.
In the spirit of kindness, let it be known,
That love and compassion can make a home.
