In ancient Greece, a man named Aesop lived,
His fables, to the world, so much he’d give.
Born in distant lands, his tales took flight,
With animals as heroes, wise and bright.

Though Aesop’s life is shrouded in mystery,
His stories brim with wisdom and history.
A slave, a philosopher, he’s been called,
But in his fables, the truth’s installed.

From Mesembria to Phrygia’s distant shore,
Aesop’s tales traveled, and then some more.
With stories of foxes, frogs, and the sun,
His lessons taught to each and everyone.

From Aristotle’s mention to Herodotus’ lore,
Aesop’s wisdom spread, from shore to shore.
In fables, he found his voice, so clear,
Speaking truths to all who’d hear.

With Aesop’s fables, we all can learn,
To seek the wisdom in each twist and turn.
For though his life may be shrouded in haze,
His stories continue to inspire and amaze.

So remember Aesop, the fable weaver,
Whose tales live on, our hearts to cleave.
In every fable, a timeless lesson we find,
In Aesop’s wisdom, we’re all entwined.
