In sunny Southern Africa, a sweet tale we unfold,
Of a young girl named Amahle, with a heart made of gold.
Her dearest companion, the apple of her eye,
Is her Zulu grandma, Gogo, who makes the days fly by.

With love in her heart and a twinkle in her eyes,
Gogo makes ujeqe steamed bread, a delicious surprise.
Chakalaka she stirs, a spicy, flavorful brew,
With onions, tomatoes, beans, and a hint of curry too.

They sit down together for a lunch that’s divine,
Amahle eats every bite; it’s a taste that’s so fine.
Gogo and Amahle, hand in hand, they listen and talk,
Sharing stories and laughter as they take their midday walk.

In the garden, Gogo teaches, and Amahle’s eyes gleam,
As she plants Amadumbe roots, like a hopeful dream.
Big pumpkins and green veggies, all in a row,
Amahle waters them, watching them grow.

Gogo’s songs fill the air, a melody so sweet,
With isiZulu lessons, Amahle’s skills can’t be beat.
Slow and patient, Gogo guides her each day,
Helping her learn the words, so they don’t slip away.

Amahle knows in her heart, as the sun starts to set,
That Gogo is her sweetheart, a love they’ll never forget.
Together they’ve made memories, a bond forever true,
In the heart of Southern Africa, ‘neath skies so bright and blue.

Gogo says, “Amahle, my sweetheart, you see,
Forever and always, that’s what you’ll be.”
Amahle knows well, her love is the same,
Gogo’s her sweetheart, they play life’s sweet game.

For Amahle and Gogo, a bond that won’t part,
Forever entwined, two friends from the start.
In Southern Africa’s warm embrace, hand in hand they’ll stroll,
A story of unconditional love, and it’s good for the soul.
