In a room full of pals, here’s a rule, quite clear:
Friends should lift you up, bring you joy, my dear.
If they make you feel bad, with a sad frown on your face,
It’s time to find new friends who bring happiness to your space.
They won’t make you feel like an old, squishy grape,
Or tease you and tell you that you’re just a big smelly ape.
No, true friends, you see, are your rainbows on rainy days,
They’ll try to cheer you up in a thousand different ways.
They won’t say you’re weird, like a goose on a bike,
Or that your jokes are as funny as a rusty old spike.
No, true friends will laugh, even if you’re not a clown,
And they’ll never let you feel like you’re a let down.
A true friend’s like sunshine, warm and so bright,
They hug away worries, make everything right.
They don’t tease or mock you; no hurtful jibes,
They’re the ones who lift you, like kites on blue skies.
But there are some folks who just don’t quite know,
How to be a good friend and let kindness show.
They might tease and poke, like a mischievous elf,
Leaving you feeling down, like the last toy on a shelf.
And when troubles arise, like a storm on the sea,
True friends are the anchors, who’ll stand by your plea.
They won’t run away when the going gets tough,
Instead, they’ll stay with you, through smooth times and rough.
So cherish the ones who make your heart sing,
With joy, love, and laughter, like the first day of spring.
They’ll build you up high, like a great towering tree,
In the forest of friendship, where you each can roam free.
But if you ever find someone causing you pain,
Like a thorn in your side or a persistent rain,
Don’t be afraid to firmly speak up and say,
“I deserve friends who make me feel bright as day!”
For life’s too short to be surrounded by gloom,
Choose friends who help your heart brightly bloom.
With pals who bring joy and make your spirits soar,
You’ll find happiness aplenty, forevermore.
So remember, dear child, as you go on your way,
Good friends bring you sunshine, not clouds of dismay.
With pals who are kind, you’ll find laughter and glee,
In a world full of friends, life’s just as sweet as can be!
